Hometown:   Tiskilwa, IL USA
I grew up and still live 10 miles from the IL River near the town of Hennepin, IL. At one time it is said that 60% of all MS Flyway ducks came through the valley here. Hennepin was named as one of the 4 great water fowling towns by DU a few years ago... I was introduced to duck hunting at the ripe old age of 4 by my father. He is a life long duck addict and passed it on to me. I've now passed that passion on to my daughter and she takes it very seriously. In my teens I guided at several of the clubs in the area as a way to hunt everyday possible. Today I still manage to hunt 60-80 days per season only now it's from the Dakotas to the mid south and from NE to IL. Some people have said my "hobby" is a little time consuming to which I've informed them it's NOT a hobby, it's a way of life.

About 10 years ago I began entering local meat duck calling contests.. It was fun and a great experience. Then I discovered sanctioned "Main Street" style duck calling contests and knew that was what I wanted to do.. My goal was to qualify for the World Duck Championship just one year. Little did I know that one time would never be enough.. My 1st year of competitive calling was in 2003 and towards the end of the summer I was beginning to make it to the 3rd round.. In 2004 I started making it to more 3rd rounds and I finally got my first sanctioned victory by winning the Ohio Regional Duck Calling contest. I had made it to the Worlds. Now the quest continues.
